The Technology Facility in the Department of Biology, University of York, provides a wide range of equipment and expertise to support broad-spectrum bioscience research and is readily available to BITECIC Ltd industry partners

Services available include genomic and proteomic analyses, mass spectrometry, a range of analytical biochemistry techniques, protein over-expression, fermentation and purification, methods to investigate the functional behaviour of proteins, confocal and electron microscopy, flow cytometry.

Many of these techniques have widespread applications in biomaterials research and tissue engineering.
