The expertise that the University of Sheffield can contribute to support the biomaterials and medical device development of industry partners falls into three broad areas of properties of biomaterials including biocompatibility, biomaterial and medical device failure / adverse reactions to biomaterials and devices and development and characterisation of biomaterials for medical devices and tissue engineering.
